Grab a blanket, pack a picnic and enjoy FREE games and activities on the grassy Hub forecourt
Get ready to stomp, chomp and ROAR at our prehistoric Hub Picnic Day - a dino-mite family gathering packed with imagination, creativity and connection!
We’re unleashing a Jurassic-sized lineup of board games, puzzles, badge making and roar-some dinosaur craft activities to keep little explorers busy and inspired. Whether you’re a tiny Triceratops or a mighty T-Rex, there’s something for everyone.
Pack a picnic rug and bring your lunch to graze on the grass outside in the fresh air. If storm clouds roll in, we’ll simply migrate indoors — this prehistoric party is happening rain, hail or shine!
Our friendly staff will be on hand to help guide play, spark creativity and share resources and we'll also have complimentary tea and coffee available for the grown-ups.
While you’re here, make the most of your visit by stocking up on fresh library loans to keep the reading momentum going for the rest of the school holidays.
You'll find us in the foyer and Room 1 of The Hub.
