The venue is open 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday with Box Office counter service available from 9:30am to 12:30pm Monday to Friday.

The Box Office and Bar is also open one hour prior to performances so you can get together with friends before the show and enjoy a catch up.

When you purchased your tickets you would have chosen your collection method. If you've forgotten, that's ok - just give us a call or email us hubreception@bmcc.nsw.gov.au

For Box Office collection, tickets are available one hour prior to performances. If you have an e-ticket or mobile ticket you can show this to the usher at the Door listed on your ticket for entry into the Theatre.

We understand that sometimes life happens and plans change but all tickets are non-refundable. Exceptions may occur in particular circumstances as outlined in the Live Performance Australia Ticketing Code of Practice.

But don't despair, should you be unable to use your tickets yourself, you may like to gift them to a friend or family member to go in your place.

If you are feeling unwell with respiratory symptoms, or you have tested positive for COVID, contact the Box Office for our refund and credit options. See our COVID-19 Information page.

You're not in the city now! Free 4-hour and all-day parking is available at the facility carpark at the rear of the building (access via David Road or Braemar Lane). We have four accessible/disabled parking spaces. Street parking is also readily available.

A good time to arrive is 30 minutes before the performance starts – or earlier (up to one hour before) if you would like to have a drink in the theatre’s licensed bar!

Some shows have a lock-out period and these are set by the production or artist and vary from show to show.

It's no fun for artists to get distracted by latecomers entering the theatre during their performance, and we don't want you to have to find your seat in the dark, so our ushers will advise you and take you to your seat when they can.

Blue Mountains Theatre is fully wheelchair accessible including toilet facilities and a lift to all floors.

Wheelchair bookings can be made for all performances by calling the Box Office and we accept companion cards. If you have reduced mobility, the first few rows at the front, or the last few rows at the rear, of the theatre have limited steps so please ask our friendly Box Office staff for advice.

Yes we do. No-one should miss out on our excellent acoustics! A hearing loop is available at the Box Office, please request this at the time of booking.

Drink - yes. Food - some.

Our foyer bar is open from one hour prior to the performance, offering drinks including non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages and a limited selection of light snacks and specialty ice creams. We have excellent local craft beers and wine too.

No, we don't allow hot food or hot drinks to be taken into the theatre. Not everyone wants to smell your chicken curry! And it's just not safe!

You may bring in your plastic refillable water bottles, but no BYO alcohol, and cold drinks and snacks can be purchased from the bar and brought into the theatre for you to enjoy during the show.

Mostly no, you cannot.

All shows you see at the Theatre are protected by copyright laws and taking unauthorised still photos, video and audio recordings is a violation of these. Also, a single flash from the auditorium can be enough to seriously distract a performer which can cause major safety issues. It is also distracting for other patrons around and behind you.

Saying that though, some performances do allow photos to be taken with your mobile, so if you plan on taking photos, best check with an usher first and listen out for announcements.

Yes for children under 12 months old, 'babes in arms' is available  The baby must be seated on your lap for the duration of the performance. If baby gets upset, that may cause disturbance, so we ask that you temporarily remove the infant from the theatre to settle them.

Please note that some shows are really not suitable for small children.

Kids older than 12 months (even if they are small) must have a ticket and will be allocated their own seat.

No, sorry - we don't have booster seats available. We do have excellent sightlines and seating is tiered so as long as the Muppet in front isn't wearing a tall hat, they should be alright!

Blue Mountains Theatre has excellent, uninterrupted sightlines to stage so your toddler or child should be able to see well and, if bringing an infant to sit on your lap, well that there is nature's booster seat!

Children under the age of 16 cannot attend on their own and must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

While we recognise that many young people under 16 are quite mature, unfortunately our ushers and staff cannot be responsible for them and, if anything should happen, well, you'd rather be there right?

Yes, but only accredited service dogs are allowed to enter the theatre and you will be seated to the rear of the theatre. Service dogs won't be allocated a seat and must remain on the floor at all times. Please advise the Box Office at the time of booking.

Please note, we love dogs here at the Theatre but unfortunately we can't invite them all in!

Springwood town centre has two pub style hotels in the main street - the Royal and the Oriental. There is a motel in the adjoining township of Faulconbridge. There are a number of B+B style options as well.
